Cape Town bids farewell to Sh. Yusuf Booley

 The Muslim Judicial Council and the Muslim community of Cape Town on Saturday 22 January 2010, bid farewell to one of its favourite sons and commited servents to the development of Quran in Cape Town and South Africa. Sh. Yusuf Booley, after a lengthy battle with illness, passed away on Friday 21 January 2010.

The Sheikh was a well-known figure locally and internationally for efforts in producing Haafith students. Jameyyatul Qurra, the school established and headed by Sh. Yusuf Booley, is regarded as one of the most successfull and well organized Haafith Institutions in South Africa attracting interest fron students accross South Africa.

 

Sh. Yusuf Booley's legacy of excellence in the field of Quran memorization continues after his passing with the Jameyyatul Qurra Haafith School and the numerous students who completed their memorization of the Quran under the tutorship of the late Sheikh.

 

The Muslim Judicial Council extends it sincere condolences to the family of Sh. Yusuf Booley and prays that the Almighty grant him a high place in Jannah, Insha Allah.
