Super Spar Vangate Accommodates Muslim Halaal Needs

The Muslim Judicial Council Halaal Trust(MJCHT) wishes to inform the community that the Elite Supermarket, Vangate Mall has been sold by the Elite Group and will operate under the standards and policies of the Super spar Group of companies.

Vangate Super Spar will accommodate all the requirements of the broader community and have therefore taken special precautions to ensure that any meat and poultry sold to their Muslim clientele will be conducted with certain strict regulations in place.

 
With these concerns the Management contacted the MJCHT to ensure that procedures are in place to ensure that clients are secure in the knowledge that their halaal needs are catered for.  Of the steps taken to satisfy the Muslim customer, the supermarket has, a) selected sections within the store for the preparation of halaal foods exclusively, b)The MJC Halaal Trust will be displayed at these Halaal Certified sections namely; The Bakery, The Hot Meals, The Butchery and The Cold Meats sections. c.)A Muslim person will be employed to serve as an in-house Halaal monitor. This person will be appointed to monitor these designated Halaal sections and will be in a position to provide information or assistance to the Muslim and other Halaal consumers.

All other foods that is normally of halaal concern in a supermarket will be clearly marked with the Halaal Logo
The MJCHT appreciate the efforts made by the new owners to accommodate their Muslim customers and wish them a successful and prosperous year.
