As a new era dawns up in many spheres of our economic, social and political lives, many challenges stare at us with regards to pursuing our Islamic obligations in the current changing climate.

Many questions and issues arise from these challenges that never existed in our past gloom. The Muslim public relies on our Ulama being the custodians of the Shariah to provide Shar’ie guidance in the various challenges we face as a society. The issues of freedom of expression, legal recognition of civil unions, Muslim Personal Law, the current urgency to legalize prostitution are some of the challenges we face as the Ummah.
