The Muslim Judicial Council (SA), serving as the central religious authority, hereby informs the community that all products from Darling Fresh Chicken are fully Halaal compliant according to Islamic standards as determined by the MJC Halaal Trust slaughtering regulations.  Darling Fresh Chicken has been through the necessary infrastructural and procedural compliances in order to ensure that all produce conform to the necessary standards set by the Halaal authority.

The Muslim Judicial Council(SA) were honoured on Tuesday 27 July 2010 with the visit of a delegation from the Sirius Astronomy Association. The association was introduced to the MJC by resident astrologer Dr. Abdurrazak Ebrahim. The association is based in Algeria and endeavours to propagate the pursuance of knowledge in the field of Astronomy.

MJC Meets with Egyptian and Saudi Arabian Ambassadors

An MJC delegation headed by President Moulana Igsaan Hendricks met with both the Egyptian and Saudi Arabian Ambassadors. Matters of mutual concerns were discussed.

SUPERMARKETS STOP PROFITEERING AT EXPENSE OF COMMUNITY

The Muslim Judicial Council SA expresses its utter dismay and disappointment that certain major supermarket chains have capitalized on a definition interpretation error of the Liquor Act, 1989 and increased the sale of table wines to fortified alcohol since 10 June 2010. This unfortunate blind decision in pursuit of increased profit margins is devoid of any reflection of the devastating consequences of alcohol abuse and will certainly tarnish the image of family stores.

The Muslim Judicial Council extends its condolences and sympathy to the family, friends and police community following the tragic and unfortunate helicopter accident which resulted in the death of seven celebrated serviceman who died in the call of duty.
